How to Prepare Artwork for Embroidery Digitizing

When you're getting artwork ready for embroidery digitizing, a little preparation can make a big difference in the finished stitch-out.

Start With the Best Artwork You Have

Whenever possible, send the original logo or highest-quality artwork available. Vector files such as AI, EPS, or PDF are especially helpful, but clear PNG or JPG files can work too.

Don't Worry If Your Artwork Isn't Perfect

You don't need to turn your artwork into an embroidery-ready file before sending it. That's part of what digitizing is for. If you're unsure whether your artwork will work, send it over and we'll take a look.

Let Us Know the Finished Size

The size of an embroidered design affects how details, lettering, stitch density, and other elements need to be handled. If you need multiple sizes, let us know the approximate size for each one.

Tell Us What You'll Be Stitching On

A design intended for a cap may need to be handled differently from one intended for a jacket, polo, bag, or other material. Include as much information as you can about the item and where the design will be placed.

Have Special Requirements?

If you have specific thread colors, lettering requirements, an existing embroidery file, or other instructions, include them with your artwork.
